I have loved fashion for as long as I could remember. I grew up with 3 sisters, a diva for a mother, and an even bigger diva of a grandmother. Key moments for me were winning best dressed in a middle school superlative, getting accepted into the illustrious Fashion Institute of Technology, and working backstage at New York Fashion Week two years in a row. My inspiration comes from street style, celebrities and influencers, and my overall personal taste.

Silk Is In

If you haven't already noticed, silk is in. Between silk camis, silk dresses lined with lace trim, silk midi skirts, etc., we are seeing silk in every style, pattern, and color. I love this silk two-piece set by Reformation. Not only is this olive green color absolutely stunning, but this two-piece set is so versatile that it can be dressed up and dressed down. During the day, pair it with a pair of white Chuck Taylors, and at night pair it with these strappy orange heels for an extra pop of color.

Ref Babe

Reformation is a sustainable clothing brand that was created in Los Angeles over 10 years ago. I absolutely love all of their pieces. They manage to combine the trendiness of fast fashion with the quality of luxury all while being sustainable and eco-friendly. Their items range from dresses, shoes, tops, bottoms, denim, skirts, and blouses. It truly is a one-stop-shop and I definitely see this brand becoming huge in the near future, competing with brands such as Aritzia and Revolve. I created this look along with a couple of others to showcase the versatility of the brand.

You can wear this outfit for brunch or a night out with the girls. During autumn, pair this with a trench coat or a leather jacket for a more elevated and fall-friendly look.

Breakup Baddie

This outfit is what I imagine to be the perfect post-breakup outfit. It's soft and feminine, but also chic and badass. The neckline on this mini dress is classic and elegant, but the dress is still sexy (this is a hard combination to successfully achieve!). Pairing it with ivory heels and a matching purse brings a soft yet trendy vibe to the look. Post a picture on Instagram in this outfit and your ex is sure to be shaking in their boots!

Valentine's Day 4.png

Prada U

POV: Date Night -  This is the girl that everyone wants but she's taken and more importantly she's loyal.

This Lovers and Friends bodysuit is 90% innocent and 10% scandalous. The Steve Madden Breslin heels are the perfect classy and glamorous statement combined with the Prada mini pouch. This pink satin skirt is meant to be worn once and one time only. A color like that is something you don't forget on a woman.

Vday in Miyamai.png

V-Day in Miami

My dream is to spend Valentine's Day in a warm weather climate. I picture this outfit as date night by the beach, light drinks and seafood by the bar, and a tan to compliment this gorgeous pink tube dress. The green accents are so fun and flirty paired with this pink, and this Cult Gaia bag is absolutely to die for. These square toe strappy Steve Madden heels are oh-so adorable and my favorite part about this outfit is that the greens accents are two different tones. Something about mismatching accented tones comes off really visually appealing to the eye.

The gold jewelery in this outfit adds to that "expensive, on vacation" kind of vibe.

Be Mine?

Valentine's Day is here gals and gays! I love this holiday because it is an excuse to wear pinks and reds without standing out too much. I personally am not the biggest fan of the color red but I love using it for statement pieces and accessories here and there to add that extra oomph to an outfit. Using it for a purse in this outfit feels sort of genius. I love this leather pleated skirt. Pleated skirts were out of style for a while but they're making a slow comeback now thanks to faux leather. Obviously, a white turtle-neck makes everything look presentable. And then these heels are simply the epitome of a bada** female! We can all agree Jeffrey Campbell never dissapoints.

Comfy Bae

I realized I don't have any uber casual or comfortable-based looks, so I went outside of my comfort zone with this outfit. Oddly enough, as much as I curate outfits centered around heels and special-occasion wear, this outfit more so aligns with my daily style.

Creams and nudes are huge trendy hues right now. Monochromatic looks are everywhere, specifically in street style and that's exactly what this outfit is embodying. I call her comfy bae because she's comfortable but still super cute and on-trend.

Also, am I the only one obsessed with these Nike's?! I've got to get my hands on a pair!

It Girl Pt. 2

I named this outfit It Girl Pt. 2 as a reference to It Girl Pt. 1 because mini skirts just exuberate "it girl" energy to me! I absolutely love a pleated mini skirt with thigh-high boots! This look gives off a modern-day trendy schoolgirl vibe.

I love these Rick Owens stocking sneakers and I can't imagine them paired with anything else so seamlessly.

This jacket from Zara is a great buy. It's well priced for a product that will probably (hopefully?) last you 2 or more winters if handled with proper care. Any piece of outer-wear that if lined with faux fur has my name all over it!

Casual Chloe

Pushing myself slightly out of my comfort zone, I want to start curating more casual outfits based around sneakers and tennis shoes, so that I can inspire reach a broader audience with my projects. Most of us go to school or work every day, and we usually don't wear heels until the weekend or on a special occasion. In fact, this outfit was actually curated for an acquaintance of mine named Emily who wanted inspiration on how to style these Commes Des Garcons X Converse Play sneakers.

I love this outfit because it's so simple but it's also cute and refreshing. An oversized white button-up shirt paired with classic blue denim always gives off a classy and sophisticated look, but this combination can be dressed down with a clean-cut pair of modern sneakers. Turn this outfit from day to night by replacing the sneakers with a pair of square toe stilettos.

Kim Possible.

This outfit was originally an inspiration outfit that I curated for a friend who asked me to style her for a night out with her friends. She had a few simple requests such as not having her arms showing, not wearing a dress, but still wanting to wear something edgy for the club. With these requests in mind, I wanted to curate something that would still turn heads and be super edgy. I love mesh turtlenecks, they are one of my favorite simple staple pieces to have for fall and are super easy to pair. Cargo pants (also known as "Kim Possible pants") are also one of my favorite pieces to style because they can be dressed up or dressed down. I paired them with these strappy black sandaled heels from Zara and a quilted shoulder bag. I'd style this outfit with a slicked-back long ponty tail and a cool smokey eye. It definitely embodies Kim Possible, one of the most bad-ass female cartoon characters!

Imann

This outfit is inspired by my middle name, Imann.

Imann is almost like my alter-ego. I imagine her to be a modern fashion socialite. She embodies a boss-lady mentality. She gets her work done during the day and likes to play at night. People admire her beauty and sense of style, but she remains a mystery because she doesn't reveal much about herself and her personal life.

It's a cool fall Friday night in November and she's going out for a drink by herself at her favorite speakeasy.

I absolutely adore these cream knee-high boots from House of CB. They can be styled in so many different ways, but I love the idea of them with a short dress and a long coat. This lapel coat from Zara is such a great price and a perfect staple for fall/winter. I would definitely get my hands on it before it sells out!

Caramel Macchiato.

This is one of my favorite outfits that I have styled. Faux leather pants are a fall staple and they bring any outfit to the next level. Try switching out your regular jeans for these pants and you'll notice how much more elevated your outfit looks.

These caramel-heeled booties from Zara are my absolute favorite boots of the season thus far. The shape of the boot is constructed beautifully, and they're priced just right.

Lastly, can we talk about this top?! PrettyLittleThing did their thing with this one. It's almost Jacquemas inspired, and it can be dressed down with light wash jeans and some designesneakers or dressed up as seen in the photo.

Holiday Hottie.

When I see this look, I envision the fashionista of the family walking into the living room on Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve, ready to steal the show with her well-put together expensive outfit and soft cashmere-sweater dress. I so despereately want to be this girl! Cashmere is the ultimate fabric of the holidays. And I am completely obssesed with these feather mule heels! They bring this outfit to another level, it takes a simple dress to a fun yet classy holiday serve. This is the girl who ever family member envies for all the right reasons!

Newspaper Red.PNG

Breaking News.

I saw a picture of a girl wearing a vintage newspaper print dress made by John Galliano on Instagram once, and I could not get it out of my head since. Newspaper prints is done by very few, but when it's done it's imperitive that it's done right so that it doesn't come across as tacky. The best way to execute this is to pair it with solid color accessories. Red goes perfectly with the newspaper print and conveys a  more classy look, which is what we are always going for.

Croc-Embossed Babe.

When I first saw this Cropped Crocodile Embossed Leather jacket by Chloe, I could not take my eyes off of it. This jacket is the perfect statement piece for fall. It's one of those things that you can only wear once, because it's that COOL. I had to pair it with an even cooler pair of croc-embossed ankle length boots. And the mesh fish-net top works perfectly because you can get away with wearing no undergarment if you're the edgy boss babe that this outfit calls for.

Brown Baby.PNG

Brown Boss Babe.

I recently posted a feature post on Chocolate Brown on my @styledbybia Instagram page, and I just can't stop creating Chocolate Brown-centered looks. This color is just simply in and you can't be mad at it. Is brown the new black? Perhaps...

In predictable terms, I can totally see model and socialite Olivia Culpo wearing this (I am utterly obsessed with her style, so expect to see her name on this blog more often).

Oui, cherie!

I recently discovered a fast-fashion online retailer called Shop Cider.

The thing I like most about this retailer is that some of the merchandise resembles vintage pieces that you'd normally expect to find in a thrift store, but the prices are much more reasonable and the concepts seem to combine vintage with contemporary style. I picture this outfit being worn by Lily Collins in an episode of Netflix's "Emily in Paris".

Groovy Baby

The good thing about platform heels is that not only are they absolutely adorable and will most likely never go out of style, but they are probably the only pair of heels that allows us to walk through the streets of NYC and dance all night long without wanting to put numbing cream on our feet!

I particularly chose this hand bag because I know it's a different shade of brown than the heels. But it works  - it works sooo well.

I want to see R&B singer Mariah The Scientist wearing this outfit. She loves a good flare pant and platform heel. Don't we all?

 It Girl.

Platform thigh-high boots forever pleeeeaseeee.

Here we are chanelling an independent "It" girl - she's in her mid-late 20's, she's single, she's going out to a karoke bar in Tokyo with her best friends on a Friday night in late September. She might pair this with a red lip, and sharp winged eyeliner.

I want model and actor HoYeon Jung wearing this, with her short bob cut. I also want social media "It' girl Aaliyah Jay wearing this.

Sophie's Choice

My favorite aspect about this look is the necklace. This feels new, fresh - I named it Sohpie's Choice because our It Girl obviously can't decide whether she wants to wear gold or silver - and that's okay! We don't have to always make sacrifices. Fashion should be the one area in our life where we have creative freedom - especially for a sophisticated outfit like this, it's important to play around with accessories even when your outfit is tightly structured!

I love olive green satin. I can easily see Rihanna wearing this with a red lip. She always pulls off a satin look - and she adores a white heel from what we can tell.

Green with Envy

Growing up, I was never crazy about green - but as I've gotten older I've come to appreciate the many different shades of green from olive, sage, grass, and mint. Green can be styled in so many different ways, for so many different occasions. My favorite way to style green is through accessories like bags and shoes. I also love a touch of green in outerwear like blazers or puffer coats.

This look is simple but also chic - I can see anyone from Kylie Jenner to Hailey Baldwin rocking this as street style. Green paired with black conveys such a bossy image - like, this woman has it together!
